We had a nice dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.
We’ve been here before but it was our first time for dinner. The food was so-so. Some things were good and others were the pits. Still and all, it was fun and the characters were a riot and that’s what you’re paying for.
I guess it’s the usual Disney buffet dinner fare. Prime rib, loin of pork, some type of pasta in meat sauce, chicken, sesame beef stir fry, over-whipped potatoes and stouffers mac and cheese.
Assorted fresh fruit, paella, salmon, salads and rolls.
And last but certainly not least, Prince Charming.
Because it was my birthday, I received a special cupcake. I let my son eat it.
For dessert they offered bread pudding, mini chocolate mousse, mini key lime pie, mini cheese cake “with hairy berries”…
Brownies, chocolate chip cookies, apple crisp and soft serve ice cream with various toppings.
He was a happy boy, except “the hairy berries” kinda grossed him out. You don’t want to know what he said they looked like.
After dinner we waddled off to the Magic Kingdom where they already have all of their Halloween decorations out. The parties start next weekend.
I love Disney during the holidays. It’s very beautiful and nostalgic.
They didn’t have nearly as much holiday themed merchandise this year. I wonder why? The economy?? I guess that’s a good reason.
It was very hot and very crowded. I guess that’s to be expected on Labor Day Weekend.
I love going into the Christmas Store. I want to buy everything!
And I will get a Dooney and Bourke eventually!
So we grabbed a seat to watch the Electrical Parade in front of the Country Bears.
After the parade we decided to leave because we were all wilted from the heat and my son was cranky because I refused to wait on any long ride lines.
The pumpkins at the exit spell out “See ya real soon.” We watched the fireworks from the monorail. And that’s that. Another birthday come and gone. Tomorrow… I’ll probably catch up on the laundry and housework. Sigh…

It looks like you had a great time! We visited Disney world last April and the lines were horrible! I see on your profile that you live outside Tampa. I was born and raised in lakeland and had family in Tampa. Thanks for your visit and sweet comment you left.
